Maybe if I’d been observant, Maybe if I’d seen… That the problems that were troubling you were more than they had seemed. Then perhaps this could have been resolved, This cruel affliction cured. Perhaps you would have seen the day And I’d have kept my word. But now you lie as limp as rags, Beneath the rain soaked ground. Your eyes blank and glassy, And your soul heaven bound.
