Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by Thorn
"

A poem that I wrote earlier this year. Since then, it has remained hidden inside my poetry book. But I decided to put it up here. So; yay!

"

Empty words,

They fill the air now.

They do not care

For me at all.

Empty threats,

They circle like wolves.

But they will never

Stray too close.

For their looming mouthes

Bear no fangs.

Empty words,

Such sad little things.

Without a meaning

To justify their existance.

Neither helping, not hindering,

They do not care

For me at all.

I like your figurative language in this poem. It's very poweful and so vivid. I know the feeling of emptiness a little too well and this definitely describes it well.

Frozen Angel.

Absolutely loved it. It reminds of times when I so want to write, and there are many words, but none of them mean anything. Liked your choice of words, especially "Without a meaning To justify their existence".

Pretty, has a nice flow. I like your comparison of threats to wolves. Good job.
