"Paper Cuts"

Love is a two sided blade,

and either way it pierces our hearts.

Some temp just till they get a paper cut,

but big thing can grow from small things,

and a bleeding heart is a bleeding heart;

not just a simile but also metaphor

for the truth about love's

double edged sword.

I like this little write. I think we often blame love for having two sides but I believe that it is us who holds the double edge sword that flips love into something else that it wasn't meant to be. Still love hurts is the point or is the lack of love that hurts the most?

mm, big things are made of small things :) always. and all heart is supposed to bleed - wasn't that its main purpose? :)
