"Butting Heads"

I've been the Billy Goat

going home with a head ache as of late,

left listening to those coos from the other side of the ridge.

 

This game of love is a tough fought battle,

but when you are the winner of the match

those coos are enough to cure the most ravenous of pains.

 

However, when heard from the other side of the ridge,

it can be the most poignant of pains.

Whoever said, "It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all,"

must have been one tough Billy Goat.
