"Inspiration"

"Inspiration"

A Chapter by Tommy
"

Inspired by Ed Hart's "Aire."

"

To ascend upon the delicate voice

which embeds for pleasure

and warms the flow of thought.

You have opened my doors

which have long been rusted shut,

and my eyes I must shield from the light,

because they have been enclosed in darkness

for far too long.

I must confess that my head may say, "know"

to the painful realization of truth,

but my heart speaks for my soul,

and it says, "Yes!"

I like poems that speak of simple heartfelt truths and you have captured the essence of a particular truth here, very well. Enlightenment and realization are described so vividly here. "You have opened my doors which have long been rusted shut..." Good descriptive writing that pulls me in to that special place of once closed doors, now flung open. Good, good, good!!!

Wow, yet again another excellent write and done in so few words! If spoken properly, we really need very little descriptives to express emotion, a true writer has that ability and you I believe you are excellent at this. Great meaning behind this poem, how we all like to hide behind false truths and the difficulty of coming to realization of what is truth. Good imagery for this!

Beautiful. So much depth to you're writing. Wonderful use of the word "know". "The painful realization of truth" Again, so much captured in so few words. You're writings make my head hurt, lol. That is actually a compliment. You make me think about life and God and right and wrong....Your writings stir my heart and make me sit up and listen.

Beautiful. I like the image of being closed behind doors rusted shut - only to have to face the light.
