"Forgive Me Please; For I Have Brought You Pain"A Poem by TommyA Sonnet/Acrostic
Atonement's pain bear immense in Gethsemane;
the Master knelt down and as He prayed humbly; oh, "If thou be willing, remove this cup from me: never the less not my will, but thine be done." He enter into agony, praying earnestly. For "Sweat was as it were great drops of blood;" lonely on this night He endure misery none doth see; My transgressions lead way for how I be received; yet, He offers me forgiveness so readily. Saying, "thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace."Sure intense my heart doth shake. Lure is woe the deceived; need I tremble for the wrath of God? Inaptly souls like mine befallen astray brought forth anguish pure.
