"Know"

Inspired by, Ed Hart's "Yes." A Sonnet.

All those who wish to pursue the skies bound,

searching for trove seeking answers of, "Yes!"

Wandering youth discoveries detest;

thus only time can speak this lurid sound.

Adage, "Lessons Of Life Are Singly Found;"

no matter which path each will find their quest.

The means is "knowledge." You'll see how you've lived;

this verdict's view is held in your left hand.   

Hear the Old tell tales of where they have spanned;

true wisdom of peace the need to "forgive."

Some can be blind to this worthy votive;

sightless by their own ill patient demand.

 

For most it will take a lifetime to bestow;

the reply of "Yes!" is seeking to "know."
