A Poem by Tommy

Consciences quiver to sounds of candor,

but deranged imbedded replies are ill.

Yesterday's dreams are nothing still pander;

who can we blame, when controlled by freewill?

This age of distress addicted to greed,

transfixed on blame, surviving on retorts;

however, lost to remedy the deed.

Lobby, lie, show us how the devil courts;

In a world controlled by all these rumors,

inspirations have died birthing regrets.

Sight of the fallen faithful consumers

is blurred by the relentless taxing sweats.

Sovereign hearts rule this land lazy unkempt,

it is up to us; no one is exempt!

These words would have Caesar himself stepping down from his thrown with sword in hand. The pen truly is mightier.
