Leftovers

Leftovers

A Poem by Tom English

I'm your leftovers
Stored in the old Tupperware
Shoved in the back of the fridge
To grow old
To grow mold
To sit until the day you decide
To take me off the shelf
And trash the rotting pile
Of something you thought was worth saving

I really like this. Your language has the punch force of reality, and the metaphor is a great one. Well done.

Dark, and nice use of metaphors. Kudos!
