Halfeti Rose

Halfeti Rose

A Poem by C Peril

Pupil rose, black
Where the Euphrates flows
Swallowed into night's dark ecstasy
By Halfeti, you wait for me
Hands are buds,
blessings, creeping
to the silent skin
I only grow where you are
No other nectar to nourish,
girl to cherish

I am here
in Halfeti
