This For You, The LonelyA Poem by C PerilRead this poem or else!
Tender hearts and trembling voices,
this is for you who shed the tears in silent spaces, whether it's lonely rooms or forgotten fields where no trees grow, no flowers blow * This is for you, who've forgotten your causes Who spend the passing days in disarray, just trying to remember Days and dreams and faces you were fond of * And this is for you who strayed from home, desperate to make it out there on your own This is for you who couldn't quite sink your roots Winds telling you to travel, further still * You who ain't got no destination no bed to lay your head down on It's desperation It's a sense of loss And complete devastation Let these words sink on in Through your weariness The bitterness, the thickened Skin And let me lay upon your soul Know from every single one of us You ain't alone
