Where Does A Heart Go?A Poem by C Peril
Do you expect the dagger,
with the heart on your sleeve? Surely you know that you'll bleed? Cause the sinners and angels alike, well they aint all that nice, not to such as you Come now, moving target try harder to mark it and make it obvious you'll take the plunge The platinum wound God's got no mercy when the game is love, which is teeth and getting trampled on Bite marks and your baptism of fire You innocent Grow a thick skin and reel it in, keep your chemistry; burn it, in the bunsen Don't pass the disease if you'd please, cause the kind of bug you're carrying, contagion Could knock down the millions, mockery man, will strengthen you The furness, brandish the iron you'll become touched by the forge Where does a heart go? Let them sing, gathered around your premature tomb then I don't know
