Kievskaya No. 23

Kievskaya No. 23

A Poem by Thomas Hudson

And as I jump out of the metro I feel your glance

Running through the station surrounding myself with the marble of love

Eternally being pleased with what I have

Eternally looking for what is better

                 Just for a second

Finally finding the right line

This gotta be the one, the right

And as the doors close yet another time

I feel the presence of doubt and fear

                  Just for a second

Time is running from me

And as I roll up on the next station

I spot yet another open train

So I will go and forget the rest

                    Just for a second

And I took the wrong one

With no time for regret

And as the doors close yet another time

I feel the presence of indifference and hope

                      Just for a second
