The Beach

The Beach

A Poem by Thomas Hudson
"

Regret. Regret and loneliness on the beach. May the total negation of my emotions take it's toll.

"
Stirring towards the ocean.
What did I do wrong?
Where lies my guilt?
Where will I be found?
Memories washing up on the shore.
How did I get so foolish?
My redemption may be found in the bottle.
But my innocence will keep me company.
I am yet abandoned.
Drifting away.
Drifting towards desire.
But lost.
May the waves forever drift.

Yes Desire does that
its empty
and those who live on lust
are sad
and simply lost forever

Because it promises nothing
so it holds whatever

its a massive whatever
