Hurt, Destruction

Mind and Body

Soul and Heart

Oh you have suffered…..

In your short life, what you have endured…

What you have to look back upon

What the future holds

Oh You Brave, Brave soul…

Oh You wonderful, selfless person…

If only back then I could have

Realized all this about you

Oh if only..

You had been spared all of it…

Bringing the pain of the world

Upon yourself….The crushing weight of it all

Stamping down upon your heart…

And yet you continued on

You didn’t give up

You didn’t end it all…

You endured all of that…

For this world that has abused you so….

Oh You Brave Soul

If only I could help…

If only I could take your pain away…

If only I could have helped more

Back in those times…

If only in your times of need…

I could have been there for you more….

If only…

And yet after all you have endured….

You continue to be strong…

Strong and kind…

Even denigrating yourself

When really it is the world that has inflicted

Upon you that truly deserves that..
