Falling Fathers

Falling Fathers

A Poem by ThisIsChloe

You couldn't have known what you were doing.
I blame myself for not blaming you.
You shriveled the heart you created.
I was naive to think our love was strong enough.
I saw you
The night your lies were stripped away and replaced with shame.
You were never out of sight.
Tears still accompany the vision of your face.
I sift through memories; trying only to keep the admirable few.
You've been lost for so long.
Please, find your way back to me
I'll forever be waiting.
I'll forever be loving you.
