I Carve Stories

I Carve Stories

A Poem by L.E.Osborne

I carve stories into my skin
And show them to myself.
In the hopes that one day,
I'll be able to understand the moral.
I weave fables from my hair
And stare at the knots
In the hopes that some day,
I'll untangle myself.
I lock secrets in my soul
And feel them fester,
In the hopes that today,
I'll let them out.

This piece is very 'i don't know what word to use'. Secrets are sometimes weaved with us until we decide to let go and also your choice of words were very well picked and spectacular.

U R so bloomin welcome ..............
What strikes me most about this write is the insular nature of what is going on. Stuff that can't be shared. That first line hit me. Whether metaphorical or not, this reader felt some self torture being declared here. Tangles and festering secrets aren't a good place to be. A great deal expressed here in a short, well written poem LEO Good to see you posting.

Hello, L! :)
You're a festering tangle of hopes and fables with secrets locked away. Haha
I like your word choices here.
