Robin Hood king of the wood.A Poem by L.E.OsborneLords of the land that's who we are, travelling on horseback up mountains so far. When we'll return we never do know, we just go where we want and we want where we go. Under cover of the night, like a feather in snow. Wanted by the authority we're always on the run, with a bounty on our heads but we simply have fun We give away our wealth to those without a shilling and take from the rich even those who aren't willing. If they're quiet enough we leave without killing. Denzels of the night we're off on our way, from pillar to post and we sleep through the day. If there's wealth to be shared we'll spread it you can bet, and if I'm perfectly honest I'm surprised we're not dead yet! King or Queen of the plenty you've got reason to fret. We live in the forest the brave and the bold, We steal from the rich their treasure and gold. If we're ever caught listen out for our cry, when alls said and done it's a good day to die!!!!!!
