You Who Cut Out The StarsA Poem by L.E.OsborneJust a sweet poem about the love of good parents. When I was little you’d cut out the stars, And trail them behind you at night. So when I got worried you’d strayed too far, I could find them and I’d be alright. And when I was younger but bigger than small, You’d tuck me in bed safe and warm. And still leave the stars I needed so much, To shelter me from any storm. When I got older and wanted you less, I’d bawl it and scream in your face. But still there they were a path to your heart, Those stars left all over the place.
