Finally Found It

Finally Found It

A Poem by Anon
"

A man has been trying to find the right place to call home and there has been a lot of good ones, but never a perfect place. Then one day he finds it in a girl and asks her to be with him.

"

I walk a long and lonely road.

The sights I see and experience

always seem to leave

a lasting memory inside of me.

I find myself

drifting endlessly,

through shifting place

and non-existence space.

Never can I

find a place to call home.

There's always some problem or two

that forces me to move.

Then I saw it,

that one spot I'm supposed to stay.

You see, it was meant to be.

You and me baby, together forever.

You're my anchor

in this bottomless ocean.

On an island we'll build a nation

living life everyday like a vacation.

We'll rule the never ending sky,

there won't be any clouds looking downcast on us.

I swear to you baby it'll be true,

never a day where we're blue.

There's a lot to do,

so much to see,

and memories to make.

So I ask, "Will you be with me?"

Any feedback on how these are is helpful. I like to write a little but don't know if I'm all that good at it. Also I'm leaving the image of the characters to your imagination. Thanks for reading my stuff =).
