Exotic dancerA Poem by Violet Skyy
Glitter descending on her crestfallen eyes and flushed cheeks
Her hair flying wild from an artificial wind Peeping behind the heavy velvet curtain Glancing at the regular crowd shambling through the doors The lights flickered on The orange hued room is now overflowed An embellished ego is worn on her fishnetted thighs Red shoes are now strutting the stage A feather boa is strangling her thoughts about quitting (But she knows the money is good) Swinging her leg around the pole dancing like a wild animal who can't be tamed Evincing her angst through the art of dance This is the life of an exotic dancer in distress © 2016 Violet Skyy |
