Strip Show

Strip Show

A Poem by Violet Skyy

Frantic to undress
The stoned stripshow
Poise swooning down her thighs
Laying in her bed
Watching her every move
She uses her body to get her way
Every wrinkle tells a tale
Of all the men she's scorned
Silver shoe lining
Honesty
Masked beauty
Gander in the mirror
Puckered lips
I love you
She says to her wrinkled portrait
Still youthful
She lifts her leg onto the vanity
Straps her shoes
I'm ready for a night out

Interesting read. Starting the poem with "frantic" and words like "watching" and "puckered" give it a nervous but exciting energy. Paints a picture of a certain kind of confidence or insecurity.
