![]() InfatuationA Poem by Deron Alexis
Infatuation She smiles One-sidedly Like all my life’s denial In sync with the music She glides toward me Then the bass drops low And her body starts to flow She spins slowly See her figure Feel her figure My hands on her hips Our bodies on fire Our sweat is gasoline The motion of her spine Ripples in the turpentine Her arms on my shoulders I’m breathing in all of her Her desire All her crazed lust Her sickly sweet ego strokes Wrapped in the heavy perfume She bought with the heads of men past The sound of her moaning And breathing heavily
Soon all around us Will fade, even the music Like monotonous arbitration.
