The Thoughts Of The MornA Poem by Deron Alexis
The Thoughts Of The Morn
Sitting on the balcony, cold for the Caribbean. winter season morning. mist in the yard, like rain forest blessings. I like it like this. I like the wet weather. I like the thick fog and cold. the effervescence of my mocha, frosting up my lenses. the dew weighing down the mist. I like rainy days. I like cloudy gloom. love the darkness of night, or a small windowed room. I love you. you like all of the above, like morn's fresh air, like cold dew spring water, like power turbulent storms, like calming steamy mocha, all in your eyes. the one I think of holding, in the maelstrom's storm-brew. the hand i want too hold, while walking in the mist. I laugh at myself . "the crazy stuff that happens when I think!" Then mummy dearest, sends me out in the cold, to take out the trash. © 2012 Deron AlexisReviews
