Symphonium

Symphonium

A Poem by Deron Alexis
"

musically free spirited

Symphonium

In our hearts

There is a song,

That says what we are

By tonal voice and sound and chord.

I close my eyes

And take your hand.

Sing now with me

Child of beauty,

Music of storms,

Like the storms

That guide me.

The winds that speak,

They sound just like you

Like joy like freedom.

And when each voice,

Each instrument,

Every tone and key and chord,

Comes alive as loud as creation itself,

Our hearts, they feel as one,

Every rift my guitar speaks.

They dance.

They laugh and play.

All restriction taken away,

Like drowning

In our own bliss at last.

If to drown this once

Means we finally breathe freely,

Then I welcome the tides

To take my frame

And ask that you follow

Wherever the storms will us to go.

Symphonium symphonium

Festus symphonium

So we can fly away.
