We Dream, Don’t StopA Poem by Deron AlexisWe Dream,
Don’t Stop
May we stay, May we stay amiss, See my spirit drowning. Letting go for you. Take it all away. Don’t wake me in the morning,
Slowly forgetting how to wake!
Let us dream my love, Eternity’s sweet slumber. Let our essences go, Dilute our spirits in this, Our grafted Eden, Home.
Home in your arms, Here in your dreams, Let down your guard. We can fly it seems. Our dreaming wings, Feathers of flaming glory. Every whim and fancy sings, Stay sleeping for me!
Let us dream my love, Eternity’s sweet slumber. Let our essences go, dilute our spirits in this, our grafted Eden, home.
reality ,it slips away, lost behind your stride. masking the air in you and me, smothering ourselves in us. Until we fall away, And choose the slumber. Asleep in the arms of one another.
