In nature

My friend to me to write about nature...so I did.

Sometimes you just need to take a walk
Sometimes it doesn't matter where
The best way to clear your mind
Is to escape for awhile
Not for too long
You'll get lost
The best place I’ve found to escape
Is nature
If You choose your place carefully
There’s nothing to worry about
There’s no attachment
It’s just you and nature
And though in books man and nature have their conflict
Now the two of you have nothing but peace
In nature, the only one that knows me is me
The trees don’t care how many times I’ve screwed up
The only concern the leaves have is if the next strong breeze will take them
The amount of times I’ve lied to people I care about doesn’t matter to that caterpillar
Everything that has happened in my life is nullified when I step into the woods
And soon when the clearing opens up to a pond
I’ll open myself up as well
Because nature has become more of a home to me than my house
It’s where I feel safe
Nature is where I’m at peace
