Poems about youA Poem by Call me hopelessNot everyone has to agree, and though I'm old fashioned, not everything is so black and white.
There was this man who once said:
"If a boy writes one or two poems about you he loves you, But if he writes dozens, he loves writing poetry" While I always enjoyed poetry I always dreaded the poetry unit in class I could never come up with any great ideas Until this last year Things just seemed to click Now I am in love with writing I take pleasure in coming up with a poem out of just one thought Not even a full thought sometimes No, sometimes it's just a tiny seed of a thought It gives you a sense of power And provides a facet for your emotions But when I write plain poetry it feels great And I know what more could I ask for But then I started writing poems about you And I felt something so amazing it's almost indescribable The rush of emotions The way the words dance off my fingertips That little excuse to think of you, To picture your face Not that I really need one You been on my mind constantly lately Now going back to what that man said Why couldn't the boy love both The way it's phrased It has to be one or the other...right? Wrong I think that the boy felt something real when he wrote And when he sees you, But as of right now Writing is the only way he'll feel something in return © 2017 Call me hopelessAuthor's Note
