Key to my heart

There's only one key and it's yours if you want it

I keep my heart locked in a box
As most people do
The strange thing is
My box is clear
So anyone can see it
I'm not afraid to hide my emotions
Some people can even get past the guard with the velvet rope
And play with the box
Sometimes it's good fun other times it hurts
That's why it's rare for someone to get a key to the box
But some do
These are usually my close friends and potential girlfriends
And sometimes these people hurt the worst
But that's not where I'd place you
For whatever reason
Even though you haven't even touched the box yourself
I feel you deep in my heart
So when you decide
There's one more key
That I hold on to with all my might
It's yours for the taking
It's the key to my heart
For those unfiltered emotions
For the little things that no one sees
It's all yours
The only decision is
Do you take it or not
