Clearly I Am Not From Here

Lightworker poem.

Clearly I am not from here

From my childhood I knew I am not from here

Planets swirled around me in dreams every night

Dark creatures caused one side of my hair to turn the color of snow

Light creatures I didn't know until I became an adult

I know God's voice

Clearly I am not from here

I know what ancients know

I did not study a book to know what I know

I did not have a mentor to know what I know

I know whole life stories from just a time to focus

Clearly I am not from here

I long for a home only my heart remembers

My mind struggling to remember that place of light and wonder

My heart in constant longing to fulfill a purpose

     a destiny

I know I am to complete

When

Where

I do not know

I know only that I will stay earthbound until I complete

Dark forces trying to keep me away

I am here

But Clearly I am not from here

Author's Note

I have trouble expressing my thoughts most times either in writing or speaking. My thoughts are not clearly formed on this poem but it is me putting something down about how I've been feeling since I can remember.

People have no problem believing in the soul, and how we are all interconnected in ways we don't understand, but give them cute names like Deja vu, psychic powers etc...Yet most refuse to believe we could have started our existence in places unknown beyond our galaxy.
If you're interested in that subject, I would recommend Arthur C Clarkes toilet of the gods. Amazon don't carry it for some reason, but you can hear him and others talking about it on youtube etc. It's an out there theory, but no less out there than many I have read.

A great poem. It really captures the uncertainty and alienation we all feel from time to time. The fact that the thoughts aren't clearly formed makes it all the better, and those last two lines really end it with a punch.
