The pumpkin stands are gone The remnants of autumn fun are all that are left Fields are vacant Littered only with a few decaying pumpkins The ones unlucky enough to find a home Corn mazes left to wither Haunted houses boarded up A booming sight in weeks past Nothing more then desolate land The season is changing Fall will soon be nothing more then a distant memory Winter will take its place Christmas tree signs will resuscitate the land Children will be laughing Waiting in line to borrow Santa's ear Bundled up with hot cocoa warming their hands Christmas Carols will be heard through the air The spirit of the season ringing out to all The holiday will come and go The land will once again be left alone Becoming nothing more then a distant memory © 2009 TheresaReviews
