Life Sucked Me In

Life Sucked Me In

A Poem by Theresa

Life sucked me in

I can't wait for it to spit me out

Paitently waiting

Taking the easy way out

Accepting my defeat

Hoping some slack will be given

I can't go on fighting

I have nothing left in me

I succumbed to my worst nightmare

A nine to five schedule

Who is this girl I've become

A girl that I transformed into

Conformed to societys monotonaus ways

The last thing I ever wanted

Stuck in the constant rotation

Scared it'll never end

Waiting for life to spit me out

If I didn't know any better, the tone in which you've written this play suggests you as a free bird, a fish, roaming in the need of freedom and abundance; your playhouse is the visionary world, in which you must be the artist, painting each second's breath with your brush of toned and esoteric notes; directing each move and choreographed to perfection. This, is the novelty of deeper expression; risen from the depths of the soul, quietly screaming to be free! Astounding perfection on your part!!

It is easy to get sucked in by the masses and go with the flow but yes when you do you realize that part of you is missing... I myself have never believed in the rules society puts on us, that makes me an outsider often and works for me... I much enjoyed your thought process on this piece.

Haha, I like your random thoughts.
It's strangely a very well written poem, I enjoyed reading it.
I think we all feel the same way when it comes to life monotonous sometimes.
