DECEMBER

Decorations light up the sky of night

Evergreens covered in snow sparkle in the sunlight

Christmas songs play everywhere

Envelopes are mailed and handled with care

Memories remembered and made

Boxes of gifts are wrapped and under the tree are laid

Embers burn in the fireplace carrying the smell of burning wood up the flue

Remembering those who are no longer with you

I was bored and was thinking of Christmas so I decided to write something a little fun with not much thought.

It actually has quite a bit of depth, remembering loved ones is something we all do at Christmas time, it just seems the right time to think and reflect. All you say rings true, the sending of cards and the decorating...all dressed up to perfection in a fine acrostic...with amazingly beautiful phrasing and lots of color...befitting your subject.

Kind of a free-write, in a way? Those are useful, actually, and I plan on starting doing one of those a day to give my sulking muse a kick in the a*s.

I suggest changing the first line to "night" being the last word, so it rhymes properly with "sunlight" on the next line.
