Riches of the World

Riches of the World

A Poem by Ceos

Wealth on earth is measured in metal

For which many settle

Sparkling silver and glistening gold

For which lives have been sold

We did deep holes

In the ground and our soules

To find a tiny stone

So we may decorate our thrones

We seek them

We hoard them

We steal them

We kill for them

What happens when our thrones fall

When the luster of gold dims

when eternity comes to call

What will our riches mean

When we meet our king?
