This poem is one that is rather special to me. I hope that whoever reads it may enjoy it and appreciate it.

The inky darkness of night

Left not a hint of light

The shadows had no end is sight

An unseen, unknown foe impossible to fight

 

No cover with which to hide

Always searching but could not find

A place of comfort and peace

To hide from the ravenous beast

 

In the void, I cry out

Knowing without a doubt

That He would hear

And take away my fear

 

Warmth melts the icy cold

A hand reaches out for me to hold

The sun rises, the message is sent

The world is alive, forever without end
