A Sunrise

A Sunrise

A Poem by Ceos

The world is still

The air is calm

Not a sound

Disturbs the silence

The trees stand erect

The crickets don't chirp

It is as if they

Are holding their breath

The sky lavender

The moon has sunk

Below the distant horizon

It is humbly bowing

For the next act

There it is!

A fiery red

Bursts in the East

Metamorphasing the sky

Into brilliant gold

The cloud brighten

Into citrus orange

They look as if

They can be felt

A small breaze begins

To rock the trees

A small sigh

From the world at peace
