ClawsA Story by Thelovelybones
The sweetest touch and the kindest words. The birds will sing to oneanother in the morning light, as the sun climbs over the mountains, anxious to greet the world again. Oh my sweet angel. Don't waste your time feeding my desires, my hunger will not run dry. Do not let your bones become hollow, your figure frail, all to statisfy me. Preserve the light shining in your eyes, in the way you glance at me in the morning light. But as you carress my wintry coat, lacing your fingers in my soft locks, gently kissing my claws as you quietly surrender your heart to me. Be on your guard my love, I am a hunter in the night, a wolf scavenging its prey. I see the tiredness in your eyes, beneath your eyes, reaching all the way down your spine. All too strong you are, all too naive, too hopefull, too sweet. Refusing defeat, you keep chasing me throughout the night. But you should know, animals like I are aquainted to Loneliness, she becomes our warmth beneath the covers in the middle of the night, the comfort to our sorrows, our very instinct to survive. Now I am consumed by the loveliness of what I have stolen, oh how it breaks me as I tear it to shreds, consuming every last piece. I watch your limp body and swollen eyes, this is what I've done, this was the inevitable. Oh, my sweet angel, you should have known. You should have known never to love an animal like me.
