Broken soul and empty body

Broken soul and empty body

A Poem by Thelovelybones
"

Take it as you wish

"
Fall my heart
You've stolen my crown
Fall down fall down

You take my place
A pedestal of lies
Wearing it in my disguise

A thousand loves
My heart will show
what my mind denies to know

Broken soul and empty body
I dare you heart one more try
I refuse to fall into another lie

Expressing something a lot of people can relate to, that's what it's about! Good piece :)

And the heart will try again...and it may fail again, losing pieces until there's nothing left - as you say, "broken soul and empty body". (Typo second stanza second line "pedestal" - I had to look it up too lol) I like the style, with an opening dramatic stanza using repetition for impact. Nicely done. Penny
