Take Me AwayA Poem by TheLoveAnomaly/SuicideConcertoTo the land who pain unknown
In quiet folds, I drift away,
Where shadows mute the harshest day. Sleep is soft, a velvet veil, A boat to dreams that never fail. The world outside, its claws retreat, And I surrender, incomplete. Pain dissolves, a distant cry, As sleep unhooks the weary sky. Numb to all that tore me down, In sleep, I wear a dreamer's crown. Each breath a step, each sigh a guide, To places where my wounds can hide. Here, I wander, safe, untorn, A land where all that's lost is born. No heavy thoughts to anchor me" Sleep is my flight, my sanctuary. And when the sun begins to creep, I long again for numbing sleep, To free me from the weight I bear, To hold me in its gentle care. © 2024 TheLoveAnomaly/SuicideConcerto |
