SEND THE RAIN

SEND THE RAIN

A Poem by Rocans

Send the rain
Come what May
No cloud in this judgment
That I am King
To reign over my faith
As the stormy sea floods the deck
I rest as my cowardly Sun tries to float
Casting a path like Benjamin's hand raised
Rising Presidents long dead yet my life to serve
Pen poised like Poseidon's prong to pierce poverty
The compost of my greatness to multiply
The root of this evil
