State of Trance

State of Trance

A Poem by Rocans

I relish moments made, within the matrix of my maverick mind

An introspective Imaginarium of idiosyncratic imaginings

When alone I operate in total verbose silence

Where loquacious thoughts nip voracious

At my rapacious will to slash my salacious pen

Like Zen I meditate again immersed in my solitude

Myself I lend wholly to the hands of oblivion

My mind as still as death’s quietus

Subsumed in my quietude

For my social masks are torn and tattered

Mephistophelean masquerade worn and battered

But now  I fall forever within the membrane of my bittersweet paradise

Where I masochistically flirt with my nightmares

Time lost somewhere in the controlled chaos of poetic phantasmagoria

And the contortions of a man in angst, inhaling my insecurities as acrid as ammonia

My lines delineating the aberrant essence of my schizoid egregores

Oblivion sounds enchanting minus of course the nightmares but then again, nightmares intensify awareness, like seasonings. I enjoyed the word play and meter of the poem, the imagery...simply inspirational! Wel done!

Thanks Tricia. I appreciate it.
I am enthralled with the complexity and depth of the words you have crafted. This flows so smoothly and creates an emotional reaction within. Beautiful peace you have woven here. Great meaning and influence. Well penned.
