Chapter 2A Chapter by HyperionAfter awhile they came to a stop and he put her on the
ground tying a rope to her bound feet and attaching it to himself, so she wouldn’t
be able to escape without him knowing. As soon as he did she stood up pulling
the rope as much as she could, yanking and tugging but it was no use. He sat
there on the ground making a fire calmly like her pulling didn't affect him at
all. Dam! She thought giving up for the moment and sitting at the
base of the tree, a distance away from the wolf. She gave him evil stares all
night, as he sat there calmly poking at the fire, he grabbed something from his
small bag. It was meat wrapped in cloth; he then placed it on a long stick over
the fire. Avel sat there with a sick expression on her face as rabbits were
vegetarians and only ate plants. When the meat was cooked, the wolf pulled it off the fire, turned to her shaking it in front of
her teasingly. “Here rabbit, eat, I would like to bring you back alive not
dead. Otherwise I would have killed you by now." “I’m not eating that you barbaric wolf, our kind doesn't eat
other animals" Avel said turning her head away from the stick. “Stupid rabbit, fine. All the more for me." he said
as he ripped through the cooked meat with his teeth. Avel wrapped her arms
around herself feeling scared and alone. Avel looked up after awhile; she
noticed an apple in the hand of the wolf. "Here, vegetarian, and by the way, my name is Eros, not barbaric
wolf, or if you really wanted to, you could call me master,
because as of now you are mine, I own you." he chuckled a little. Avel
knocked the apple from his hand with a glare on her face. “There is no way I’m calling you that! And my name is avel
not that you care" she turned her head. Avel sat quietly and said nothing more as she stared up to
the night sky though the trees. She was hungry, but she refused to let him know
she was weak. The fire started to burn down and Eros lay down putting his
arms behind his head. It was a surprisingly cold spring evening. Avel still
sitting at the base of the tree started to shiver, she wasn't use to camping
out like this, she was use to the burrow where it was warm and cosy away
from the winds. She lay down trying to curl up to warm herself. Eros noticed Avel curled up into a ball under the tree, he
couldn’t have her frozen, he needed her healthy. He tugged at the rope attached
to her feet, avel startled, opened her eyes. “Come here, now" Eros said as he pointed to the spot
right next to him. Avel looked at him in horror; she didn’t want to go over
there, what was he planning to do to her anyway? "Don’t even think about it!" Avel
said holding her legs to her chest. “Stupid, I wasn’t going to do anything to you; I was only
suggesting you move here closer to the fire." “I don't trust you, why offer kindness to me after hunting
me down!? It doesn't make any sense" avel said tightening her arms around
her legs. “Because I need you healthy for when I return, besides you
don't really have a choice." Eros said tugging the rope again. "Oh so it's better to die by the hands of your wolfy friends,
then to freeze to death, I think I’ll take my chances with the cold." she
scooted around so she wasn't facing him. Eros stood up and walked over to where she was sitting. “You’re a stubborn one, I said I don't like my rabbit’s
sick" Eros grabbed avels arm and dragged her over to a place next to the
fire. Eros sat right next to her making her feel uncomfortable,
but he was right, it was warmer. Eros lay down putting his hands behind his
head again and shut his eyes. After an hour or so, Eros’s breathing started to
slow, he also started to snore. Avel lent over the wolf to see where the rope
had been tied to him, she could see it tightly bound around his wrist, which
was behind his head. Dam it all! If she moved his head he would certainly wake
up. So she tried her ankle bounds to see if they could be
loosened, but they were tied so tightly, and the knot was so complicated it made
her fingers red from trying over and over again, to undo it. Dam wolf must have
a knot tying technique, no wonder he looked so relaxed, he knew she was stuck
there. Avel was hungry, so she slightly shuffled over until the
apple was in her reach, then carefully she dusted it off and began chewing.
The apple was so sweet and juicy, 'I bet he stole this apple from our village
trees' she thought, it tasted just like the ones she ate. Wait, if he knew
where our trees were then he must know where the village was, then why didn't
he attack the village instead? Avel felt tired, so she snuggled up in front of the fire,
and went to sleep; she could always escape tomorrow. Avel awoke to the feel of her hands being tugged by Eros.
Eros stood looking over her in front of the light; he looked like a dark figure
as he stood there. "Get up, we have to walk far today, and I want to get
an early start" Eros said as he tugged her rope a little harder now. Avel
gave a moan, there was probably a bruise developing where the rope rubbed
against her wrists. Avel started to stand, and then Eros suddenly picked her up
and flipped her over his shoulder again. "Hey! I would like to walk you know! I have legs,
besides I don't like being handled by you all the time." Avel said knowing
he was obviously ignoring her. As Eros strolled through the woods, Avel just hung there
over his back, feeling quite weak and tired from lack of food and sleep. She
didn't know how far they had travelled, or where they even were. She was
starting to think that she would never be able to find her way back to the
village let alone escape from the wolf. She hadn't come this far through the woods before. All of a sudden she felt Eros stop, and could feel the vibrations in his back as he started to growl.
Now avel was worried. © 2012 Hyperion |
