..And when you left

..And when you left

A Poem by Alexa Aiden

Morning comes in breathless hours

I don't know where I've ended up

I cannot move, I cannot swallow

Summer sticks to my throat

Grows a solid mold

Keeps the silence home

Trickles down to spread like seas inside of me

My world is blurry

It's time to go back to sleep

Sleep? That would require patience, at ease.

And that's something my mind can't conceive

So I'll wait until you're done

Wipe your graffiti from my mind

It's not up to me any longer

So we'll give this one to time
