Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Alexa Aiden
"

I wrote this in a time of desperation and sadness. It's pretty self-explanatory.

"
The tears come like angry wolves,
fighting you,
not letting go until they break the skin

Somehow the world seemed hollow.
It seemed to loose it's meaning without you to make it bright
it made me believe you truly defined an angel
when you left the whole world felt it
it shook the dawn the minute you lost your breath
he comes quietly surfacing our eyes
we hang our heads in disbelief of today's goodbyes

I liked how you made it so the emotions were coupled with an image that suited it and made them both stronger. I loved the quiet of the ending, it made it final, like there was this kind of peace that went with it.
