To Diet or Not to Diet

To Diet or Not to Diet

A Poem by The Golden Pen

To Diet or Not to Diet

Today I tried to fit into my jeans.

Pathetic  thought that crossed my mind.

Jelly thighs wiggled about, filling the seams.

Massive satellites for a fat  behind.

Indeed it was a gruesome spectator's sport

Holding my breath  in till I was blue.

Turning purple,  my face started to contort.

Blubber-- one--fat chick came at number two.

To diet or not to diet, that's the question--

Whether to sew my mouth shut tight,

Resisting all heavenly temptation

Merciful heavens, Let me lose ten pounds tonight.

Oh, curst regime, that leaves me unsatisfied--

Give me chocolate--who cares if my hips are  wide!

I say we should just be happy with ourselves on the inside and that way we wouldn't have to worry so much about what the media is saying about what is beautiful. We all grow old and die if we don't die young. Its awful how eating is something that is bad. All we see is bunches of skinny people in advertisement everywhere right along advertisements to eat all this wonderful food, as much as possible!
