IN THE VOID

You leave me in the void

No explanation

Nothing to hold

Or release

Nothing to gauge

Nothing at all

Confusion reigns

In my head as I fall 

I can barely see a thing

I can't find the words

Consumed by endless thoughts

Left with my insides blurred  

 

And I follow my shadow

I'm not sure where 

left with this part of me

Way beyond repair

edges frayed start to tear

I go through the motions

Hiding  my current state

Eyes holding tears back

Smiles smeared with paint

And float like a feather

Undirected and unbridled

I submit to the wind

In defeat, I'm left delighted

The best part about being in a relationship with someone who is indifferent to your feelings , your well being and/or the consequences of their actions upon your life ....is when you finally break up. Yes the experience can leave you confused and broken but in the end you are truly better off without them. Consider the torture you put yourself through trying to please them. The confusion goes away and the broken can be fixed. Maybe I'm off in my conclusion but I got the sense that there's a sliver of hope at the end of this well written piece.

I agree and time will make that much easier. It's still so fresh but yes I will never ever lose hope I believe God has a plan for me even if I don't see it yet. Mr Lopez thank you so much for your feedback and your advice I truly appreciate it so much.
