First Lovers End

For my first true love

Im here to speak and say
Wow we had a past
I'm sorry you won't be the last

But let me be honest
Our love left me astonished
We were something great
I remember our first date
Even all the times we ate

Making food together
Or thinking it be forever
But hey
You tought me what to say
Who to be
And maybe who's meant for me

I find it incredible
How now I think I'm ready for love
This love that seems edible
And yet flows like wings of a dove

I think you are perfect in every way
But I mean it wasn't meant for us to stay
But now I see
I see what you tough me
And that was that life
Is like a knife
Sharp in its edges
But shiny like badges

So thank you for showing me love
And now I hope for the best
Hope you find one better than the rest
You deserve it and no more of this mess

I loved what we had
And it wasn't all bad
It was great
Like even our last date

So with this let me say I love you
Because it's true
But now I must give my wings a chance
And fly away to my first new dance
Mayb with a new love bug
That hit me so snug!

Tight in my heart
I hope we never grow apart
So I'll always love you
But now it's meant for my love to be true
