|We have Learned|

|We have Learned|

A Poem by Elly

We have learned that we cannot be loved.

We have learned that if someone says something that is brutal, you just simply walk away and forget the agonizing pain that fulfills our body so it can nor more function the way its suppose to.

We have learned that we must fit in with the script because if they read the wrong lines there will be nothing but humiliation and depression that will soon wash over.

We have learned that the mistakes we make can not be resolved because the memory will still be there; haunting us in out dreams and reminding us that we will never be good enough.

We have learned that crying is for the weak and happiness is a mask because of how blind society really is to see what is beneath it.

We have learned that it is okay to see the blood drip from our wrist and pretend it did not happen.

We have learned that it is okay not to eat for days because its your body not theirs.

We have learned that judging yourself is okay but others will be shameful.

The world is misunderstood. The children are surrounded by darkness and sadness that they can no longer see the light. They have not seen the whole entire world but they have seen enough to not want to live anymore. And that for, we are ceased to know what yet has to come.
