Weeping sins

Weeping sins

A Poem by The Water Queen

weeping mother earth,

poor daughter of sin,

kindling her sodden kin,

can sanity save them all,

the hateful young ones.

when the sun goes cold,

will your sight began to fail

and will the wind abandon your sail.

weeping sin,

poor mother earth,

breaking waves against her own rough skin.

Painless screams of the children of hell.

Hopeless smiles of a broken child.

bloodied back of a saddened savior.

burned cross of a million men

this one is a bit darker and sadder than your others. I would love to hear the background to this one. It is still wonderful and drags you into the poem itself.

We have been introduced to an earth
of chaos and destruction.

You have described the hell of civilization
in flux, where no trust exists, where we
hide from each other.

A great story written with an economy of
words.

GREAT writing !

Very dramatic and well written. Like your choice of words and their arrangement. I'm thinking perhaps this is about the earth being destroyed by mankind, if I'm wrong, well, I still enjoyed your poem and this message it gave to me. Nice job.
