I read once in one of my father's books that he keeps far from my little brother that a wizard is a man with powers from the immortals. The ones who gave my kind long pointed ears and sharp senzes so that we may live amongst mortals. The immortals once gave a young man power so that he could overcome all the magical beings that stood in his path and in doing so they created a new race of beings. Wizards, witches, sorcerers and soceresses, preists and priestesses, warlocks and dark wizards. Nothing of such greatness was predicted to come from such a race of powerful beings. None would suspect that they wished to share their new found power with anyone who showed great potential to learn it. It also said that one day these beings would try to take over the world of magic and mortal alike. Ha like my Father was going to let them take control of us. I don't think that is ever going to happen.
I could be one of those many that can learn the gift of witchcraft. My mother is a witch. Born and raised in a good english family she was cast out of her home when they learned that she was a wicth. My father took her in and gave her a place to stay where she would feel welcome and loved as if she were part of his family. Soon she showed him her so called curse and wept as she did. He only smiled and wiped her tears from her tanned cheeks.
"Such power is never a curse. The immortals have given you a gift that you may use however you like," he said as he faced her towards the setting sun. "none shall ever tell you that this power is a curse. Many will bow to you."
However when I was born she died. My father named me tear. He told me he never blamed me for her death. That the immortals had given him me in trade for her. He loved me deeply and treated me more like a son then a daughter. I know he knows that I have the gift of witchcraft such as my mother. He could tell by the look in my eyes that I would one day be a great queen.
The trees shake with fear tonight. The wind blows to the east and I hear the wolves crying for our salvation. They have sent us a new company of wizards and witches. Four to be exact and the forest is restless for their arrival as so am I. Longwood stands at my side and watches me closely. He is tense and afriad of these creatures. Tis alright, i think as I hear footsteps of horses draw near. Longwood stepped closer in his haste to protect me as the first man appeared in the light of the fire. Mid-length black hair and deep set green eyes that shimmered in the light welcomed my gaze. His built frame and long sword only frightened Longwood more.
The next man was slightly taller with a chizled face and deep red eyes of a vampire. His short brown hair stuck up as if he hadn't taken the time to look presentable. His long black cloak fell to to the ground and I knew he was different from any of the others. I could see his future more the less. It was dark like the look of him.
Two women trailed behind them. One had the longest black hair I had ever seen. It was pulled into a braid and she wore a dress mad out of fine elven silk. Its dark colors of the moonlight and fire crawled up to her shoulders. The other woman had mid-length red hair that she had let fall in nice curls. Her dress was made of fine english cloth. The bright colors of the rose and sun crwled up to her bust.
"Noreth eston costa noth leigh," the black haired one spoke elven to me and bowed.
I bowed back and face Longwood. He was deep in thought on how to kill them if they tried to hurt me in any way. I smiled and faced them once more.
"I am Lady Tear of the northen elf clan. It is a pleasure to finally meet you all," I said. "This is my body gaurd Longwood. Excuse him if he does not speak to you."
"Lady Tear I am Godric Gryffindor. This is Salazar Slytherin, Rowena ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff. We a very happy to finally get to know elves as friends not enemies," godric said bowing once more.
"Yes finally as friends," I said and allowed Salazar to kiss my hand. "Shall we go have a feast then in your honor?"
"Tis fine if ye want to my lady," godric said. "Anything will be a pleasure in your company." I blushed and started out into the forest.
"Follow me," I said.
